Meet Your Therapist, Maroné Vosloo

I am a registered therapist with the Council for Pastoral and Spiritual Counsellors (CPSC), adhering to a strong ethical code that emphasizes four core principles: respect, competence, responsibility, and integrity. These values guide my work, ensuring the best possible care for my clients and fostering the continued growth of my practice.

My primary focus is mental well-being. I am deeply passionate about helping people navigate difficult times, supporting them in their journey toward healing and growth. I hold an Advanced Course in Pastoral Narrative Therapy, accredited by the University of Pretoria, and bring years of experience to my work.

In addition, I have completed a Neuroscience Course and ADHD Coaching Certification, which has deepened my understanding of the brain’s impact on behaviour, emotions, and overall well-being. I am particularly passionate about neurodivergent awareness and specialize in neurodivergency, helping individuals with ADHD, autism, and other neurodivergent conditions understand their unique needs and strengths. I believe in creating an inclusive space where everyone is empowered to thrive, regardless of how their brain functions.

My journey is deeply personal, having faced the challenges of ADHD, depression, and anxiety myself. I was diagnosed with ADHD later in life, and through years of struggle and self-discovery, I have built a toolkit of coping mechanisms and skills that allow me to thrive in a world that isn’t always accommodating to those who are “different.” This isn’t just academic knowledge—this is the lived reality of having to prove myself every day, in a world that doesn’t always understand. I bring this experience into my therapy practice, offering not only professional expertise but also a deep empathy and understanding of what it’s like to navigate these challenges.

I specialize in relationship wellness, trauma therapy, and neurodivergency, with a particular understanding of the profound impact anxiety and depression have on our lives, especially in today’s challenging world. My goal is to help individuals identify their core values and the strengths and skills they possess to live authentically in line with those values. Together, we can confront and overcome life’s challenges.

Narrative therapy is a social justice approach that challenges the negative, dominant stories that shape our lives. By listening and engaging with my clients, I help identify areas of unhappiness while also uncovering alternative, empowering narratives. My role is to co-create a new, more hopeful story, one that emphasizes strength and possibility.

Helping people is not just my profession—it’s my passion. I am naturally drawn to those in crisis or experiencing hardship. After all, life is an uncertain journey, and tomorrow is never promised. I believe that in holding onto hope and faith, we can find the strength to persevere. We must remember that God’s love and the way we live our lives are the true anchors, guiding us toward a better tomorrow.

If you feel it would be helpful, I offer a phone consultation before beginning therapy. While this is not a requirement, it can be an opportunity to ask any questions you may have and ease any concerns. However, if you prefer, we can simply begin our work together in the first session.
